Job Overview

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of competency, service delivery, and professionalism in our Environmental Health Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce environmental regulations and laws to protect public health and safety
  • Conduct inspections and investigations to identify non-compliance with regulations
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to develop and implement effective enforcement strategies
  • Provide education and guidance to businesses and individuals on environmental regulations and best practices
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve environmental health services

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in public health, noise control, contaminated land, or local authority enforcement
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours, with some home working required
