We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Level Crossing Risk Management Assistant. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the safety of our communities.

About the Role
  • Assist Level Crossing Managers (LCMs) with all aspects of level crossing risk management, including data gathering and analysis, risk assessment preparation, asset inspection, stakeholder management, and safety awareness.
  • Support LCMs with pre and post site visit preparation, including arranging joint site visits, corresponding with stakeholders, and documenting responses.
  • Undertake level crossing inspections, faulting, and minor maintenance, accurately reporting all work completed or not completed.
  • Support LCMs with analyzing, documenting, and tracking trend changes from census camera footage, raising significant changes and deliberate acts of misuse.
  • Assist LCMs with preparation of narrative risk assessments, including analyzing census camera data and chasing up information from stakeholders.
  • Support LCMs in the preparation of and attendance at Road Rail Partnership Group meetings, taking minutes and actions as required.
  • Work with stakeholders on behalf of LCMs to manage outputs from meetings, progress fault rectification, and updates to systems.
  • Support the LCM team by tracking completed Fatality and Weighted Injuries (FWI) reduction activity and updates periodically.
  • Support LCMs with compliance, including maintaining incident databases, monitoring trends and trigger points, and preparation of joint long-term strategy documents.
  • Assist LCMs with projects, including signal renewals and timetable changes.
