Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Manchester Care Group in delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative services that meet the needs of this vulnerable population.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a clear process for managing the local Assuring Transformation system needs
  • Improve the Community Enablement and Treatment Response (CETR) process
  • Establish a service response to the local Dynamic Support Plan/Register, ensuring admission avoidance and supporting individuals with LD/A in the least restrictive environment
  • Develop service responses to learning from the Learning Disability and Autism Expertise Development and Research (LEDER) initiative
  • Improve the quality of experience for individuals with LD/A in mental health inpatient settings
  • Advocate, challenge, scrutinise, and support on behalf of individuals with mental health needs and LD/A, providing knowledge, advice, information, and expertise to colleagues and services within the Manchester Care Group and across the local system
  • Inform the wider Trust's strategic and operational work on Learning Disabilities and Autism from a Care Group perspective
