Job Title: Senior Occupational Therapist

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Rehabilitation and Frailty Team (RAFT) in North East London. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with a friendly team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, rehabilitation assistants, and integrated healthcare assistants to provide high-standard patient-centered care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily therapy in patients' own homes, prioritizing caseload to respond to changing daily needs.
  • Communicate closely with other service providers to avoid admission where safe and provide onward referrals to community services.
  • Work with a wide variety of patients, including neurological, orthopaedics, falls, long-term conditions, and musculoskeletal cases.
  • Participate in a friendly and approachable team, well-supported by senior management.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working at B5/B6 level.
  • Previous NHS work experience.
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.

Working for NELFT:

NELFT places great importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction, including mandatory training, systems training, and equipment allocation.

Probationary Period: This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless currently part-way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High Cost Area Supplement: This post attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,192 and a maximum payment of £2,011 per annum pro rata).
