Key Responsibilities:- Lead a small team and oversee day-to-day duties, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Manage all aspects of freight operations, including cargo booking, routing, tracking, documentation, and Customs clearance.
- Arrange insurance for high-value and client-sensitive shipments.
- Develop and implement cost-effective groupage trailer planning strategies.
- Utilize computer systems and Microsoft packages, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to manage data and reports.
- Maintain attention to detail when handling data and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Experience in freight forwarding and logistics, particularly European road freight.
- Ability to load, plan, and route export trailers for cost-effective groupage trailer planning.
- Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems.
- Confident use of Microsoft packages and good attention to detail.
- 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, plus additional benefits.
