Business Development Executive Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our team at Q Underwriting in Chelmsford. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with brokers, generating new business leads, and increasing awareness of our product range.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Generation: Identify and develop new business opportunities with existing and new brokers, ensuring alignment with our underwriting appetite.
  • Broker Insight: Build and maintain a database of valuable insights into our existing broker network, informing our sales strategy and product development.
  • Quote Chasing: Effectively follow up on quotes on behalf of underwriters, ensuring timely and accurate communication with brokers.
  • Development: Proactively identify and reactivate dormant accounts, driving growth and revenue for Q Underwriting.
  • Cross-Sell Opportunities: Identify and pursue opportunities to cross-sell our products to other parts of PIB Group, leveraging marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with account leads, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Broker Panel Management: Engage with a selected panel of brokers every 6-8 weeks, building rapport and promoting our key products.
Requirements:
  • Insurance Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of the insurance industry is beneficial, but not essential; full training will be provided.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organisation and Time Management: Proven ability to multi-task, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
