Roxel Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Engineer to join our team as a Design Authority. This is a unique opportunity for a talented engineer to broaden their knowledge and experience in rocket motor design.
Key Responsibilities- Design Evolution Management: Manage the design evolution process to meet customer requirements, including specifying and reviewing structural, thermal, and ballistic analyses.
- Trial Management: Specify, monitor, and report on rocket motor trials, ensuring appropriate validation testing is carried out prior to formal qualifications.
- Design Review Leadership: Lead formal design reviews at relevant design phases, ensuring actions are taken and completed on time.
- Certification and Compliance: Responsible for design and production certification, producing a Certificate of Design for the rocket motor.
- Customer Interface: Lead on all technical matters with the missile prime contractor, arranging and managing specific trials as required.
- Qualifications: A formal qualification (degree or equivalent) in mechanical, aeronautical, or related engineering discipline.
- Skills: A sound understanding of engineering principles, including mathematics, stressing, materials, and manufacturing techniques. An interest and aptitude in rocket motor design, with a good understanding of DFMEA, 'Design to Cost', and 'Design for Manufacture' principles.
