Senior Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Manager to join our New Build Development team at Nottingham City Council Housing Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of our housing programme, working closely with the Head of Development to ensure the successful management and delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Development in the delivery of the New Build housing programme/refurbishment programme
- Effectively manage and support the project delivery team
- Supervise and performance monitor the Project Team, setting clear goals and objectives for the delivery team
- Manage the development of multiple housing developments, ensuring all feasibility studies and option appraisals are carried out within a customer-focused timeframe
- Prepare initial project briefs, including project objectives and outcomes
Requirements:
- Experience of programme management and effective risk management
- Experience of budget control/financial management, including the ability to negotiate and drive value for money
- Ability to lead, motivate, coach and supervise staff in a changing environment
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, demonstrate strong presentation skills, with the ability to present complex information to a range of audiences
- Self-motivated with effective planning skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects and work to deadlines
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships, be resilient with ability to work within a changing environment
