Job Summary:
Pertemps Liverpool is seeking an experienced Warehouse Handballer to join their team at their Haydock Distribution Centre. As a key member of the warehouse team, you will be responsible for fulfilling customer orders by selecting and preparing products for shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manually load and unload products from trucks, trailers, or containers, involving lifting, carrying, and placing items by hand.
- Stack goods on pallets in an organized manner to ensure stability during transportation or putaway.
- Separate and organize products according to product type.
- Inspect products for damage or defects and report them.
- Record quantities and types of goods loaded or unloaded to ensure accurate inventory tracking.
- Operate equipment such as manual pallet trucks, PPTs, and trollies.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Communicate and work as part of a team.
- Work in either ambient, chilled, or freezer environments as and when required (PPE and extra breaks will be provided).
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a warehouse environment, ideally within a distribution industry.
- A "can-do" attitude.
- PPT Certificate and 1 year's experience.
- Excellent physical health.
- Willingness to work in a chilled or freezer department.
- Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and standards.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written).
- Good level of literacy and numeracy.
- Ability to work within a team to achieve daily targets.
