Role Overview:
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the procurement of IT and digital services, ensuring that all activities are cost-effective, efficient, and aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a diverse portfolio of IT and digital expenditures, implementing sourcing strategies across multiple technology sectors.
- Formulate and execute procurement strategies for IT hardware, software, licenses, telecommunications, and digital services.
- Lead the comprehensive procurement process, including Tenders, RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulations.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with suppliers to achieve the best possible terms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ascertain IT and digital needs, ensuring procurement activities are in sync with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain a robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) framework to cultivate strategic partnerships and drive innovation.
- Conduct ongoing market research to remain updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Lead initiatives aimed at cost management to pinpoint areas for optimization and drive savings in external IT and digital expenditures.
- Work closely with IT and Digital teams to ensure procurement efforts align with the organization's digital transformation initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT and digital procurement, including considerations for cybersecurity and data protection.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related discipline; MCIPS/CIPS certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in IT and digital procurement.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure, software licensing frameworks, and digital services.
- Exceptional negotiation and relationship management capabilities.
- Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and enhancing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capacity to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
