About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with ASD, physical needs, SLD, and PMLD in a range of educational settings
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, promoting engagement and learning
  • Assist with classroom tasks and activities, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Manage challenging behavior and develop strategies to promote positive behavior

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with additional needs, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Knowledge of SEND policies and procedures, with a commitment to inclusive practice
