The school are looking for numerous candidates to join their school as a SEN Teaching Assistant. You will be working with children aged 8 to 19 in an alternative provision school for children with additional needs. They are looking for both full time and part time for the full academic year.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role will include:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a primary school setting.
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Assist with classroom activities and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Support students during Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) lessons.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
  • Promote social and emotional development through targeted interventions.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Previous UK school experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant is essential.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum, including EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
  • Relevant qualifications, ideally Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Working as a Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you excellent benefits, including:

  • GBP85 to GBP95 day rate which equates to GBP16,575 to GBP18,525 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
