At Amazon, our facilities across Europe serve as vital hubs where teams collaborate to ensure we consistently deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist colleagues in adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
- Execute EU network standards, plan preventive maintenance, and guarantee technical readiness.
- Work alongside team members to gather and analyze data for process enhancement.
- Facilitate and support both site-specific and network-wide initiatives.
- Guide, support, and mentor your team to foster their professional growth.
A Day in the Life:
As an RME Area Manager, your role will be to integrate the components that create a supportive and efficient work environment. You will lead and mentor a team of skilled technicians focused on ensuring equipment reliability.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- A UK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), BTEC National Diploma (OND), Ieng, CEng, or ILM L4+
- Experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production setting managing complex business processes.
- Experience in leading personnel within an engineering team.
- Experience in managing relationships with various stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and upper-intermediate proficiency in the local language.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:
- A relevant degree.
- Experience with statutory regulations, compliance checks, and machine safety protocols.
- Experience with automated systems, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems.
- Experience in project management or methodologies such as Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
