We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work with children and young people with chronic fatigue syndrome and ME, providing specialist assessments and interventions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality, specialist CBT to individuals and groups in a wide range of settings, including outpatient clinics, home visits, and schools.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for individuals with complex needs, working collaboratively with patients, families, and carers.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and carers, providing information and advice at appropriate stages of the patient pathway.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver a coordinated service, exploring complex and sensitive issues related to treatment options and decisions.
- Lead on aspects of service delivery and development, contributing to a CBT-based framework of understanding and care.
- Engage in regular clinical supervision and provide supervision to other multidisciplinary team staff as appropriate.
- BSc Hons in a clinical profession.
- Post-graduate Diploma qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
- CBT accreditation with the BABCP, with a focus on CBT with children and young adults.
- Evidence of maintaining professional competence through CPD.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of child mental health problems, including long-term health conditions, medically unexplained symptoms, and co-morbid anxiety and depression.
- Experience of multi-disciplinary team working and excellent communication skills.
