We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Manager for a prominent Offshore Wind Farm Developer. This role is pivotal in overseeing the fabrication strategy and ensuring the successful execution of work scopes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fabrication strategies while ensuring adherence to project timelines and change management protocols.
  • Champion best practices in fabrication, leveraging insights from previous projects to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with the work package manager to assess bids for fabrication tasks, providing informed recommendations regarding risks and opportunities.
  • Engage with Engineering, Transport & Installation, and Operations teams to streamline project workflows.
  • Facilitate team integration and alignment among all stakeholders involved in fabrication objectives.
  • Build and manage a diverse Joint Venture fabrication team, guiding them in their specific responsibilities.
  • Foster strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to promote collaboration.
  • Encourage innovative approaches by adopting agile methodologies to enhance value discussions.
  • Work alongside the Package Manager to define resource requirements, including the management of site services contracts.
  • Lead safety initiatives on fabrication sites, ensuring compliance with HSE standards and performance targets.
  • Act as the Site Safety Leader, prioritizing safety before and during fabrication yard operations.
  • Promote HSE campaigns in partnership with the HSE manager.
  • Establish performance metrics for fabrication and oversee contractor performance to ensure targets are met.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with fabrication execution.
  • Monitor fabrication productivity against project expectations and develop key performance indicators.
  • Support the work package manager in estimating project fabrication costs and timelines.
  • Verify contractor documentation for compliance with contractual obligations and standards.
  • Ensure that fabrication quality meets established standards and that all processes are adhered to.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fabrication execution plans.
  • Ensure that assurance and control processes are in place prior to major fabrication activities.
  • Provide assurance to the Package Manager regarding the fulfillment of fabrication requirements.
  • Lead fabrication reviews and contribute to functional assessments, particularly at the commencement of new activities.
Qualifications
  • CSWIP 3.2, IWI, IWE, or equivalent welding inspection certification.
  • NACE 2, ICORR 2, or FROSIO Level 2 coating inspection certification.
  • Relevant experience in the fabrication sector, particularly within the Offshore Wind Industry (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong comprehension of fabrication processes and the ability to interpret engineering specifications.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective documentation and collaboration.
  • Ability to clearly articulate issues and work collaboratively to resolve them.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify problems, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Proficient in using software for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Valid UK working rights.
