Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Neurological Occupational Therapist to deliver a specialized Occupational Therapy service within a dedicated multi-disciplinary team focused on neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert Occupational Therapy interventions for individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and other neurological disorders.
  • Work independently while collaborating with the Parkinson's team and various healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Lead the occupational therapy component of rehabilitation programs tailored for patients with complex health needs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients referred to the service, determining their suitability for therapeutic equipment and rehabilitation.
  • Supervise and mentor junior Occupational Therapy staff and students, fostering high standards of practice.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of complex cases, utilizing evidence-based approaches to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions.
  • Engage in community occupational therapy initiatives, addressing the needs of adults with intricate health and social challenges.
  • Formulate and execute intervention strategies aimed at mitigating the effects of disability and enhancing overall well-being.
