Neurological Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurological Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist assessment, treatment, and clinical management of clients with neurological conditions.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the development of efficient and effective occupational therapy working practices. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to deputise to the Allied Health Professional Lead as required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist assessment, treatment, and clinical management of clients with neurological conditions.
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment programs to meet the needs of clients.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to achieve high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development of the service to meet changing health and social care agendas.
- Lead and manage a team of occupational therapists to achieve high-quality patient care.
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC Registration.
- Evidence of CPD including attendance at recent postgraduate courses/training relevant to Neuro rehab and disability management.
- Supervision training.
- Member of British Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Involvement in a relevant COT special clinical interest group (e.g. NANOT).
- Postgraduate formal qualification (i.e. leadership training).
- Clinical experience in the field of Neurology, having completed Band 6 rotations or equivalent.
- Clinical experience in the NHS or similar health service across a range of acute/rehab settings.
- Experience of working with people with life-limiting disease.
- Experience of contributing to professional development and clinical education of junior staff, students, and assistants.
- Experience of leading audit/service improvement projects and working to timescale.
