About the Role
The Position
The Investment Products & Fund Strategies - Fixed Income division is currently looking for a seasoned professional to join our team as a Fixed Income Investment Consultant. The ideal candidate will spearhead business and marketing initiatives and serve as the investment representative for the firm's fixed income operations, focusing on our range of Credit products, including Investment Grade and High Yield Credit. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our investment and risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Development & Marketing
- Drive the expansion of the Fixed Income sector by engaging with clients, prospects, and consultants;
- Evaluate business prospects and create products and solutions with significant potential;
- Design and execute marketing strategies, promotional materials, and investment guidelines;
- Act as a liaison for portfolio managers, articulating investment processes and portfolios to diverse audiences;
- Educate and advise internal teams, clients, and consultants on market trends and portfolio performance;
- Differentiate and position strategies in relation to competitors;
- Foster strong collaborative relationships with Business Development & Relationship Management colleagues.
- Ensure the investment and risk integrity of our portfolios on behalf of clients, aligning with their expectations;
- Set realistic client expectations for performance across various market conditions;
- Identify investment and operational risk challenges and propose process enhancements;
- Manage risks associated with business operations and client negotiations.
- Actively participate in product development initiatives;
- Assess business opportunities within the broader context of the overall portfolio;
- Collaborate with the EMEA Business Development & Relationship Management Group on fixed income strategies in the region;
- Lead the resolution of internal business challenges related to portfolios and solutions.
The successful candidate is likely to possess:
- A robust academic background with strong credentials;
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably within the Asset Management sector or institutional investment consulting;
- Advanced technical skills and proficiency in MS Excel;
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities;
- A background in fixed income, with experience in portfolio management and/or product management strongly preferred;
- Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a solutions-oriented approach;
- The capability to work autonomously and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities effectively;
- Creativity, attention to detail, and leadership qualities;
- A willingness to expand knowledge of non-traditional instruments and complex investment strategies;
- A readiness to travel as needed;
- Proficiency in European languages is advantageous but not mandatory.
