About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Welcome Manager to lead our team at the National Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our visitors have an unforgettable experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of welcome staff and volunteers to provide outstanding customer service and ensure a warm welcome to our visitors.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty, working closely with the Visitor Experience & Operations Manager.
  • Ensure the day-to-day operation of the welcome area is running smoothly, including managing staff rotas, training, and performance.
  • Work closely with the countryside team to share our cause and enrich landscapes for nature and people.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to increase income and revenue, working closely with the fundraising team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a visitor-facing environment.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, visitors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
