Position Overview:
As a Vehicle Maintenance Trainer, you will play a vital role in supporting the operational efficiency of a prestigious organization by ensuring the optimal upkeep and readiness of a diverse range of vehicles, including everything from utility bikes to advanced armored vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
Your daily tasks will involve engaging with Vehicle Mechanic apprentices at their respective workplaces, utilizing your extensive vocational background to provide instruction, mentorship, assessment, and guidance to facilitate their successful completion of apprenticeship programs.

Essential Skills:
Are you proficient in diagnosing mechanical issues without relying on diagnostic equipment? We seek individuals with a broad experience in vehicle maintenance, including light, heavy, and specialized machinery, who are eager to impart their knowledge to aspiring Vehicle Mechanics.

No Assessment Experience? No Worries:
If you lack prior assessing experience, the organization will provide a comprehensive 12-week training course to help you obtain your Assessing qualification, enhancing your professional skill set.

Key Duties Include:
- Support, inspire, and guide learners throughout their apprenticeship journey.
- Monitor and evaluate learners' progress in line with organizational expectations.
- Complete necessary documentation to the required standards within set timelines.
- Offer advice and guidance for portfolio development based on program criteria.
- Effectively record, plan, and track individual learner progress using established paperwork and reporting systems.

Required Qualifications:
- Significant experience in the vehicle maintenance sector, particularly in mechanical diagnostics.
- Relevant industry qualification (minimum Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanics).
- Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (preferred).
- GCSE in Maths and English – grade C or above (or equivalent).

Security Requirements:
Must obtain and maintain SC security clearance, Enhanced DBS, and Child Barring Service clearance.
