We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education. As an Experienced Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with additional learning needs, SEN or behavioural needs in mainstream primary schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to pupils with additional learning needs, SEN or behavioural needs
- Lead and facilitate small group interventions to support pupils working below age-related expectations
- Develop and implement tailored approaches to meet the needs of individual pupils
- Work effectively as part of a team to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals to ensure seamless support for pupils
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs
- Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and calm manner in challenging situations
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals
- A patient and nurturing approach to working with children
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of £12.82 per hour
- Term-time only working hours from 8:30-15:30
