Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Architect to join our team. As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated systems to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the migration of legacy applications to a cloud-native architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop infrastructure automation using IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Chef.
  • Architect and build cloud-native applications with a focus on event-driven, microservices-based architectures using Openshift, Kafka, and other cloud technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the migration of legacy applications to a cloud-native architecture.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab to streamline deployment and continuous integration processes.
  • Take a DevSecOps mindset, ensuring security, testing, and re-usability are integrated into automation strategies.
  • Build observability into applications with a focus on alerting, logging, and monitoring to ensure rapid recovery from failures.
  • Work closely with senior executives and key stakeholders to present new initiatives, provide updates on projects, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Contribute to large-scale, globally distributed projects requiring strong collaboration and communication skills.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Chef.
  • Proven experience in Python programming (Go is a plus) with the ability to develop production-ready APIs and automation code.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native architecture, including event-driven, microservices-based design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with Openshift and Kafka for building cloud-native solutions.
  • Strong background in CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab) and creating automated pipelines for efficient delivery.
  • Experience in developing robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for enhanced observability and resiliency.
  • Must have experience in the financial services industry, with a clear understanding of regulatory and security requirements in the sector.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a high-pressure environment with a track record of successful project involvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing production-ready APIs and application code using Python3. Knowledge of Go is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of IaaC tools like Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, and Chef for large-scale infrastructure automation.
  • Experience in building cloud-native applications using microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins and GitLab, for automated code deployment.
  • Knowledge of observability frameworks, ensuring systems emit the right telemetry for swift issue recovery.
