About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gardener to join our team at HC-One. As a key member of our Gardening team, you will be responsible for maintaining and presenting the homes' gardens and grounds to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake gardening duties, including planting seasonal foliage, grass-cutting, shrub maintenance, and pruning.
  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of gardening machinery and tools.
  • Work closely with the estates team to undertake salt gritting and snow clearance as required.
  • Implement the Care Home's Health and Safety policy and Emergency and Fire procedures.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with Residents, the Home Manager, and other colleagues and visitors.
Requirements
  • Ability to drive a company vehicle.
  • Knowledge of gardening practices and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to recognize signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise.
