About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Anchor. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a quality catering service that meets the needs of our residents, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures, minimizing waste and using equipment correctly.
- Escalate any concerns or issues to the Chef Manager or relevant authorities.
Requirements
- Level 2 food safety certificate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
- Previous catering experience, with a basic understanding of food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
- Experience working with older people, with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
Desirable Skills
- Ability to organize time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to work in a pressured environment, with a strong team ethos.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
