About the Role
We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our team at Anchor, a leading provider of care and housing for older people. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a quality catering service in line with health, safety, and hygiene requirements.
- Comply with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
- Minimise wastage when preparing meals and use equipment correctly.
- Escalate concerns and issues.
Requirements
- Level 2 food safety certificate.
- Health and safety procedures, including control of substances harmful to health (COSH).
- Previous catering experience with knowledge of basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
- Experience of working with older people.
