About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Social Worker to join our expanding Kinship and Special Guardianship Service in Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people living with Special Guardians and their carers.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing assessments of potential Special Guardians, requiring strong engagement, assessment, and analysis skills.
- Supporting transitions, reviewing and assessing support needs, and providing support to established Special Guardians and the children in their care across the city.
- Working systemically, ideally with experience and knowledge related to Kinship Care and Special Guardianship.
- Practicing anti-discriminatory and anti-racist approaches, with confidence in having courageous conversations to achieve good outcomes for children.
About the Team
You will be part of a friendly, experienced, and supportive team, comprising social workers, family support workers, a children's social care assistant, a finance and benefits worker, and team managers. We are based at B Bond in Central Bristol, in an open-plan office with views over the Floating Harbour, Clifton Suspension Bridge, and Ashton Court.
