Role Overview

The Trainee Merchandiser will be working closely with the Merchandising team to influence the product ranges at FatFace. This role involves managing stock levels to maximize sales and minimize markdown risk, ensuring profitability and availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn the skills required to progress within the merchandising function, with responsibility for managing stock for a product department.
  • Manage the launch position to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time to maximize profitability.
  • Receive regular feedback from the Merchandise team, who will coach and develop you throughout, supporting you in reaching your goals.
  • Order and manage the intake of stock from suppliers worldwide.
  • Update product systems with correct delivery dates and shipment modes.
  • Review historical and current sales to forecast future stock needs.
Requirements
  • Ability to build strong relationships across different functions within the business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills, with a professional and confident approach.
  • Organized and able to manage and prioritize a wide range of tasks.
  • Able to interpret data and see opportunities.
