Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Kdb+ developer to join our team at Lucera Financial Infrastructures. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Kdb+ databases and related applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Kdb+ Development: Design and develop Kdb+ databases and applications to support our high-frequency trading infrastructure.
  • Data Management: Efficiently manage large volumes of real-time and historical market data, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
  • System Integration: Collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to integrate Kdb+ systems with our broader technology stack, including FIX engines and low-latency trading systems.
  • Optimization: Identify and implement performance improvements, optimizing both code and database structures for speed and reliability.
  • Testing & Debugging: Conduct thorough testing and debugging of Kdb+ code, ensuring high levels of system reliability and accuracy.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, system designs, and operational procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers, quants, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience with Kdb+/Q development, with experience in financial services or trading environments being a plus.
Technical Skills
  • Kdb+/Q: Solid understanding of Kdb+ database architecture and Q programming.
  • Programming Languages: Knowledge of Python or C++ is advantageous.
  • Data Handling: Strong skills in handling and processing large datasets, including time series data.
  • Linux/Unix: Comfortable working in a Linux/Unix environment.
  • Scripting: Experience with shell scripting and automation.
