About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Matchtech Energy. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing a team of multidisciplinary engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of projects to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead a team of engineers through project activities to complete projects in a timely manner to high quality standards.
  • Engineering Activities: Plan and manage mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to effectively align project expectations and outcomes.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Review technical specifications and develop engineering solutions.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Documentation: Prepare project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
  • Technical Reviews: Lead technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Work directly with the project management team to identify and manage risks at an early stage.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Master's degree level qualification in mechanical engineering or similar degree or demonstrate significant equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years Mechanical Engineering experience within a project lifecycle environment.
  • Certifications: CEng status preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, excellent IT skills with the MS Office package, strong communicator able to present to various audiences in a clear and concise way, ability to take on new challenges and adapt quickly.
  • Security Clearance: Due to security restrictions, this role is only open to UK nationals able to obtain security clearance.
