Lead Clinical Specialist

Role OverviewIn the capacity of Principal Clinician - Genomic Diagnostics (fixed-term contract), you will serve as a subject matter authority within critical internal initiatives and shape the broader healthcare landscape at both national and international levels to optimize participant and patient outcomes.
The core responsibility of this position is to collaborate closely with the Genomic Medicine Service, offering guidance to the service leadership team and assisting various squads in the planning, development, and launch of safe, thoroughly researched cancer-related products and services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver clinical leadership and expertise in the design and implementation of our services and programs.
- Assist the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Scientific Officer, Director of External Affairs, and Director of Ethics in interactions with advisory committees and the Participants Panel.
- Provide clinical support to the service management team, including navigating complex discussions with research participants and addressing inquiries, complaints, and clinical incidents.
- Contribute clinical insights for safety and risk management frameworks.
- Represent One HealthTech at national and international conferences, meetings, and working groups.
- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and GMS Service Owner to strengthen partnerships between One HealthTech and healthcare colleagues.
- Advocate for patient and clinician priorities with the Executive Leadership Team and colleagues across One HealthTech.
- Foster strong relationships with senior stakeholders to communicate, promote, and advocate for One HealthTech initiatives and priorities.
- Provide clinical leadership in the development of research strategies and coordination, establishing processes to support research stakeholders.
We are looking for a proactive and dynamic clinician with substantial experience in developing cancer pathways within healthcare systems. The ideal candidate should possess a deep knowledge and passion for advancing germline cancer genomics and healthcare informatics, alongside a proven history of clinical leadership.
QualificationsMedical degree; CCT in Genetics or equivalent required.
Additional InformationCompetitive salary starting from: £93,500
