Job Description

Role Overview

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Pupil Support Assistant to join our team at Gracemount High School. As a key member of our Integrated Support Faculty/Enhanced Support Provision, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils at all levels of ability at all stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with diverse needs, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a sense of community and respect among pupils and staff.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting pupils with diverse needs.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in supporting pupils with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of pupils and the school.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion, with a strong understanding of the needs of pupils from diverse backgrounds.
