About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pupil Support Assistant to join our team. As a Pupil Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to pupils with ASC, promoting effective learning and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support pupils with ASC.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for pupils with ASC.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to pupils with ASC, promoting positive relationships and behaviors.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote inclusion and diversity within the school community.
Requirements
  • Significant experience of working with children and young people with ASC.
  • Proven ability to establish positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of autism and its impact on learning and behavior.
