About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary autistic school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other special educational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with autism and other special needs
- Assist teaching staff in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of students with autism
- Support students in developing their communication, interaction, and cognitive skills
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure best outcomes for students
- Foster independence in students and promote well-being and good welfare
Requirements:
- Early years experience or a passion to work with children on the autistic spectrum
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
What We Offer:
- A competitive daily rate of £80-£90
- A long-term contract for 1 year
