Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Mercury Hampton Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of materials and components supplied by external vendors meets company and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate supplier performance and develop quality standards
  • Conduct on-site supplier audits to ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, including quality, delivery, and compliance
  • Analyze supplier data and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality standards, policies, and procedures
  • Work with suppliers to develop and implement quality control processes
  • Ensure incoming materials and components conform to required specifications and quality standards
  • Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues using root cause analysis tools
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier quality performance, audits, and corrective actions
  • Prepare quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 5 years of supplier auditing experience working with engineering, manufacturing, and distribution operations in an industrial environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality auditing principles, general practices, and in-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, BS1090, welding regulations, process pipework regulations, and EICR regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflicts within various organizational structures
  • The capability to simplify complex problems, conduct root cause analysis, and provide clear, well-thought-out recommendations
