We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Configuration Management to join our team at Airbus Defence & Space. As a key member of our Configuration, Data Management, PMT, and other teams, you will play a critical role in supporting some of our biggest Space & Satellite manufacturing projects, including OneSat, Skynet, and ESA's Galileo.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of configuration managers and document controllers, focusing on their development and growth.
- Ensure the delivery of all commitments taken for Configuration Management, prioritizing project and customer satisfaction.
- Support business proposals and bids by providing costing of activities.
- Manage subcontracting activities, ensuring delivery against complex projects.
- Take ownership of your part of the data transformation plan to move towards end-to-end digital data flow.
- Demonstrable experience in configuration management and Product Life Management (PLM) within a complex, design for manufacturing environment.
- Experience in managing people and projects with strong integration, forward thinking, and leadership skills.
- Experience of supporting project proposals and costings associated.
- Experience of using Product Life Management (PLM) tools, with Windchill being a plus.
