As a Technician with Network Rail, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of the railway network. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions, often at height, and will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing the track network, signalling and telecommunications systems, and electrification and plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair track, signalling, and telecommunications systems to ensure safe and efficient rail operations.
- Work at height to inspect and repair overhead lines and electrification equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver safe and efficient work delivery.
- Develop and maintain technical skills and competencies relevant to the discipline.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and respect for rules and procedures.
- Leadership skills to motivate and direct a team for safe and efficient work delivery.
- Effective communication skills to deliver clear instructions to the team and other colleagues.
- Technical skills and knowledge of inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal techniques in the discipline.
- Safety-focused attitude and ability to consistently role model safe behaviours.
- Problem-solving skills to find safe and effective solutions.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills and competencies relevant to the discipline.
- Relevant qualification or equivalent level of experience.
