School Finance Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our Accounts Department and manage the financial resources of a secondary school in Barking & Dagenham.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the school's financial resources and accounts functions, including budget reviews, wage queries, and internal transfers.
  • Prepare reports and schedules for the Finance Committee and Board, and produce accurate minutes of meetings.
  • Line manage and develop the Finance Team.
  • Ensure adherence to financial procedures and controls, and support the development of improvements to reflect best practice.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in the preparation and production of management accounts, KPIs, and financial analysis.
  • Experience of finance systems and developing them to meet business needs.
  • Experience of financial control and reporting, cash flow management, and forecasting.
