Mechanical Design Engineer to Senior Design Lead

Our client, a leading provider of medical products and engineering solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Slough on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design and development of mechanical products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical drawings, and project reports.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, applying knowledge to improve design processes and product quality.
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a strong background in medical devices or related industries.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing projects, handling complaints, and solving problems.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection moulding and 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks or Inventor.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small team.
