About the Role:
The Department of Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Planner to join our team. As a key member of our distribution team, you will be responsible for resourcing and effectively forward planning all company resources, utilizing both internal and external resources when required.
Main Responsibilities:
- To forward plan all fleet operations for the next day, taking into account cost, compliance, and customer requirements.
- Plan reloads for all fleet vehicles and subcontractors, ensuring consideration of driver compliance and minimizing empty mileage.
- Subcontract additional loads that cannot be covered by company resources.
- Focus on day-to-day planning, working closely with transport operators to provide updates on any same-day changes.
