We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director to lead our Flood Risk team and drive the development of our hydraulic modelling capabilities.
About the Role:This is a new role at Align Property Services, offering a unique opportunity to shape and lead a dedicated team of hydraulic modelers and engineers. As Technical Director, you will be responsible for establishing best practices, driving innovation, and contributing to the success of our projects related to water systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:- Validate and provide guidance on 1D/2D hydraulic modelling techniques to support Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Alleviation Schemes, and Drainage Strategies.
- Work with our current team of Flood Risk Engineers and Technicians to deliver projects that meet client requirements while providing technical support to others.
- Manage project delivery and provide leadership within an engineering consultancy.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs, and ability to manage expectations.
- Degree in Geography, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or equivalent with post-qualification experience.
- Proven record delivering Flood Alleviation schemes, Flood Risk Assessments, and Drainage Strategies.
- Deep knowledge of the regulatory system to ensure that designs and projects comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in engineering software tools, such as Autocad, QGIS, and Hydraulic Modelling software.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Competitive salary from £65,000 per year dependent on skills and experience.
