About the Role

Vision for Education - Cornwall is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of children aged 5-11 in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Read, Write, Inc phonics scheme with confidence and enthusiasm
  • Support children in small group settings and on a 1:1 basis
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
  • Provide guidance and support to children who require additional help
  • Contribute to the development of engaging and interactive lesson plans
Requirements
  • Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience delivering the Read, Write, Inc Phonics scheme
  • Flexibility, reliability, and adaptability
  • Recent experience supporting children aged 5-11
  • Good understanding of how children learn and develop
  • Experience working in a similar role
