About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at a secondary school in the Newquay area. As an HLTA, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their individual progress and delivering lessons to whole classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lessons and work alongside teaching staff to support student progress
  • Provide 1:1 support and small group support to students
  • Manage student behaviour and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour
  • Mark and provide feedback to students

Requirements:

  • Experience working with SEN or SEMH students is beneficial
  • Ability to adapt to different age groups and classes
  • HLTA status or willingness to achieve HLTA status
