We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our team at HAP Alaska-Yukon. As a Food Runner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dining room by delivering food to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate orders and information between the front of house and the back of house
- Deliver food to customers in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist customers with any issues that may arise
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to prioritize orders
- Stock necessary items on the expo line and make back-ups as needed
- Package carryout orders and delegate prompt delivery
- Assist with prep work or side work during slow periods
- Contribute to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance
- Must have or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler's Card
- Must have a valid alcohol safety card for the State of Alaska
- Minimum age of 21 years required to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Minimum age of 18 years required to reside in company housing, where available
- Participate in HAP's sustainability program and safety culture
- Dedicated to delivering excellent customer service and a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to support and comply with company policies and guidelines
- Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day
