Capital Modelling Lead Opportunity

AIG is seeking a highly skilled Capital Modelling Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Economic Capital Modelling Team, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and testing of our Global and Local Economic Capital Models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and improve existing modelling methods to stay on top of industry practice and ensure our models remain best in class.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements, design, and test results.
  • Lead working groups to develop new methodologies and metrics.
  • Present to Risk Committees on model changes and developments.
  • Document the model and interact with the Internal Model Validation team.
  • Ensure logs, reports, and documentation are maintained and available for use/review.
  • Coach, train, and mentor Analysts on Capital Modelling and review their work.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a quantitative field.
  • Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary.
  • Extensive experience as a GI Economic Capital Modeller.
  • Experience with stochastic modelling techniques, including Insurance Risk, Market & Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Reinsurance, and aggregation methods.
  • Strong experience in Igloo Modelling or other modelling platforms.
  • Knowledge of Solvency II and other regulatory regimes.
  • Experience in large projects and team coordination.
  • Strong quality control and review skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
