About the Role
The Powys CAMHS School In-Reach Service is an early intervention service within the Mental Health Division, working in partnership with schools to support learners' emotional health and wellbeing. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the delivery of the service, providing consultation, learning, and training to professionals and learners in both primary and high schools.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support to relevant professionals, including school staff and other stakeholders.
- Deliver training to professionals on emotional health and wellbeing issues, using evidence-based approaches.
- Conduct school-based consultations, using a theory-based approach, to support learners and school staff.
- Develop and deliver learning programs for learners in primary and high schools, focusing on emotional health and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the Powys CAMHS School In-Reach Team and CAMHS Services to achieve shared goals.
- Support the Team Lead with delegated responsibilities and contribute to the collection of data.
Requirements
- Registered Healthcare Professional, such as a Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Practitioner Psychologist.
- Experience of assessing and delivering psychological interventions with children, young people, and their families.
- Excellent communication and IT skills, with the ability to establish good relationships within and outside the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to work in different settings, using different mediums, and to adapt to changing environments.
- Emotional and professional resilience to manage demands and prioritise the needs of the service.
Desirable
- The ability to speak Welsh.
