Job Overview

Senior ICT Consultant

£30,000 - £36,000

Verelogic IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior ICT Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our technical services team, you will be responsible for maintaining all IT hardware and services across our clients' sites, as well as helping them improve the standard of their ICT provisions and enable them to deliver effective teaching and learning through ICT solutions.

About the Role

  • You will be passionate about IT with a strong technical background, be self-motivated and enjoy providing excellent customer service.
  • You will also have a good level of competency in common user applications and an excellent level of experience in using Microsoft Office365.
  • You will be skilled in maintaining school computer equipment, installing new and existing software across the network, providing technical support for users and resolving identified technical problems.
  • This role requires you to be a team player, have strong communication and organisation skills along with a courteous manner with the ability to explain technical issues in layman's terms to our customers.
  • You will ideally have at least 2-3 years' experience in working in a school environment.
  • School experience is required for this role.
  • You must have a full UK driving licence and a car.
  • You should have a good working knowledge of Apple products and iPads configuration as well as a good working knowledge of the Windows environment and Networking.
  • You should be able to work independently and have an aptitude for problem solving and a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve services provided by your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve and manage any technical issues that impact the running of the school's function by providing robust technical solutions.
  • Installation or repair of computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing and solving problems that develop in their operations.
  • Respond to a wide range of technical duties associated with the computer network and desktop services, primarily in connection with existing installations and upgrading of these installations.

  • Strong technical background with a passion for IT.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good level of competency in common user applications.
  • Excellent level of experience in using Microsoft Office365.
  • Skilled in maintaining school computer equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organisation skills.
  • Courteous manner with the ability to explain technical issues in layman's terms.
