Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking nutritious meals for our residents
  • Work to scheduled meal plans, ensuring attention to individual dietary requirements
  • Maintain excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Support at mealtimes, ensuring a positive dining experience for our residents
  • Respect the choices and preferences of our residents
  • Check kitchen equipment and report any concerns or faults to the Chef

Requirements:

  • Experience of cooking for large numbers
  • A passion for preparing and assisting with cooking of fresh, tasty, homemade food
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in catering and hospitality
  • 2 years' experience in a catering environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team
