Job Title: General Practitioner with Aviation Medicine Qualification

We are seeking an experienced General Practitioner with a strong background in Aviation Medicine to join our team at HCRG Workforce Solutions.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled General Practitioner with a Diploma in Aviation Medicine or equivalent experience to provide primary healthcare services to military personnel and entitled civilians. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of aviation medicine and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake primary healthcare clinics for military and entitled personnel
  • Examinations and occupational health assessments within the locum doctor's scope of experience and qualification
  • Inform the local medical authority of any case that may affect a serviceman's ability to undertake their duties
  • Complete reports and documentation in accordance with MOD policy or the requirements of any other government department
  • Attend individual management reviews or case conferences with Primary Healthcare (PHC) and/or line management as required

Requirements:

  • General Practitioners must be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) both on the main register and on the GMC GP Register without Restrictions
  • Diploma in Aviation Medicine or equivalent experience
  • Current, satisfactory in-date annual appraisal in line with the requirements of the General Medical Council's (GMC's) Good Medical Practice (GMP)
  • Ability to provide certification for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Adults up to and including Level 3 training

Desirable Requirements:

  • Previous Ministry of Defence (MOD) experience
  • Previous experience of working within an MOD Airfield/Naval Base
  • Previous emergency care/response experience
  • Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) and/or Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH)
