Support Requirements:
Our client is a 32-year-old gentleman facing challenges due to a brain injury and multi-sensory impairment (MSI).
You will be an integral part of the support team, promoting positive outcomes for him, ensuring he has the security to access information, communicate effectively, and navigate his surroundings safely.
Your role will facilitate effective communication and the reception of clear information.Your assistance will empower our client to engage fully in learning, vocational, and social activities, thereby enhancing his access to community interactions and experiences.
You will work closely with the family and professionals involved in our client's daily life, implementing a daily exercise routine aligned with his physiotherapy program.
The objective is to bolster our client's confidence, foster friendships, and fill his days with enriching and enjoyable experiences.
You will encourage him to undertake personal tasks such as meal preparation and general household activities, including cleaning, laundry, and daily planning.
The essence of this role is to be a reliable, confident, and compassionate support worker, ensuring that effective communication remains central to all interactions.
A BSL qualification, along with experience in hand-under-hand signing and Makaton, is advantageous for this position but not mandatory.
