Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Branch/Yard Assistant to join our team at Tessenderlo Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our Longtown branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently, meeting tight deadlines and quality standards.
  • Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck, ensuring safe and secure transportation of goods.
  • Process orders accurately, adhering to customer deadlines and maintaining high levels of productivity.
  • Support our trade counter team, providing a high level of customer service and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Interact with customers, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to accurately process orders and maintain records.
  • A hardworking and flexible individual, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • A basic understanding of health and safety procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to learn and use our systems and software.
  • A forklift truck license, with the ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
